PGNiG TERMIKA owns five plants: HP Kawęczyn, CHP Pruszków, CHP Siekierki, CHP Żerań and HP Wola. They produce approximately 401 million GJ of heat which covers 70% of the demand in Warsaw and 60% in Pruszków, Piastów and Michałowice.
The main fuel used at our cogeneration plants is hard coal. However, we are gradually replacing it with biomass of willow grown as an energy crop, which is more environmentally-friendly.
The heat produced by PGNiG TERMIKA is distributed in Warsaw through the municipal district heating network of Dalkia Warszawa, whereas in Pruszków and adjacent localities – through our own district heating network.
