PGNiG TERMIKA SA implements investment projects in Siekierki CHP Plant, co-financed from the European Funds.

The funds come from the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment, Priority IV “Initiatives aimed at adjusting enterprises to the requirements of environmental protection”, action 4.5 “Support for enterprises in the field of air protection” (hereinafter referred to as POIiŚ – 4.5) and under the Sectoral Operational Program Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises, years 2004-20016, Priority 2, Direct support for enterprises, Action 2.4 Support for operations adapting enterprises to environmental protection requirements (hereinafter referred to as SPO WKP)as well as from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 under the PL04 Program “Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources”.

Environmental investments in PGNiG TERMIKA SA are ahead of the cut-off dates for adjustment of the installation to the future, far more stringent emission standards. Technologies used comply with the standards of the Best Available Techniques (BAT).

All investment projects strongly contribute to the reduction of the concentration of sulfur dioxide pollutants, nitrogen oxides and dust in the atmosphere, and thus improving the environment in Warsaw and quality of life of its inhabitants.
